About the presenter:

Kostas Leptokaropoulos is the global Academic Manager for Geoscience at MathWorks, based in Cambridge, UK. His role is to support academics in making the most of MATLAB for research and education. Kostas is an Environmental Engineer holding a PhD in Seismology. He has served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and as a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. He has worked on European-scale Scientific and Research Infrastructure projects (e.g., EPOS, SERA, SHEER, EURO-LAB). Kostas has published over 25 peerreviewed research papers and has performed more than 130 scientific and educational presentations, seminars and invited talks. Kostas convenes the EGU ESSI Session on Advancing Geoscience Research Software and is a visiting teaching assistant at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
