ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΕΙΟ ΠΑΝΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΙΟ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗΣ
MATLAB Workshop

Το workshop περιλαμβάνει 2 μέρη:
- Μέρος Α: Deep Learning with MATLAB
Απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές, ερευνητές και διδάσκοντες και έχει διάρκεια 2 ώρες. Απαιτείται εγγραφή. - Μέρος Β: Teaching and Learning with Generative AI and MATLAB
ΜΕΡΟΣ A.
Deep Learning with MATLAB
Agenda
This session provides an introduction to practical deep learning using MATLAB. Attendees will learn how to create and train different kinds of deep neural networks.
- Importing image data
- Perform image classification using pretrained networks
- Build convolutional networks from scratch
- Use long short-term memory networks

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
Dynamic environments like MATLAB can serve as a playground where engineering students build transversal skills. In this session, you will explore the latest MATLAB teaching tools, like MATLAB Copilot, available at your university, along with best practices for integrating Generative AI into engineering education, like academic integrity, development of instructional content and student assessments.
MathWorks supports educators and students in combining the power of MATLAB and Generative AI to enhance learning outcomes. Together, we aim to thoughtfully integrate these technologies into higher education and with your feedback, continue to advance engineering education for societal impact.
AUTH CAMPUS-WIDE LICENSE
Faculty, staff, students, and researchers of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki have unlimited use of MATLAB and Simulink products, on and off campus, on any device.
To access your university license, please sign in to MathWorks using your official academic credentials.
If you do not have a MathWorks account, you need to create one using your university email address. Personal email addresses (e.g., gmail, yahoo) are not supported.

Campus-Wide License Installation Guidelines
Install MATLAB on personal computers and in computer labs:
- Go to mathworks.com and sign in.
- Click “Install MATLAB” and follow the prompts to download and install MATLAB products. (Note: For multiple installations that are all the same, you can Install Noninteractively.)
- Select the license labeled MATLAB (Individual) when prompted.
- Download User Guide
Users will be prompted to sign in with their University email address the first time they run MATLAB on a specific computer in a computer lab or classroom. Thereafter, they can work offline on that computer.
At each release, install the latest release on shared computers to make all new products and features available to users.
Additional information:
- Install MATLAB on Personal Computers – Campus-Wide License (5:06)
- Install MATLAB on Shared Computers – Campus-Wide License (4:57)
Install MATLAB on permanently offline machines
For permanently offline computers that never connect to the internet, see Install MathWorks Products on Offline Computer. Use the license labeled MATLAB (Designated Computer). The administrator of the University must assign the user to the Designated Computer license.
